(TINLEY PARK) A 47-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday in south suburban Tinley Park.

The woman was driving about 7 a.m. near 175th Street and Brennan Highway when she lost control of her vehicle, according to a Cook County sheriff’s office spokesperson. Her vehicle then struck another.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital, the spokesperson said. The woman, identified as Tonya M. Moore, was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after 8 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. She lived in the 17100 block of South 71st Avenue in Tinley Park.

An autopsy performed Friday found she died of blunt force trauma to the head, and her death was ruled an accident.

The other driver had non-life threatening injuries, the spokesperson said.

The cause of the accident was still under investigation Friday night.
