Funeral services for former U.S. Rep. Gus Savage of Chicago will be held next weekend.

The wake will be at 10 a.m., followed by services on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Chicago.

Savage died over the weekend, a day after celebrating his 90th birthday.

He served six terms in the U.S. House after first being elected in 1980.

He is survived by his son, a daughter and three grandchildren.
