A man was shot Sunday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old man was in an alley in the 500 block of South Princeton at 12:35 p.m. when three males walked up and one pulled out a gun, according to Chicago Police.

The male fired in his direction before running away.

The man was shot in the right side of the torso and taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

A police source said the victim is a documented gang member.
