Man wearing breathing mask robs Waukegan bank

A man wearing a breathing mask robbed a bank Wednesday night in north suburban Waukegan.

The robbery happened at the TCF Bank branch at 922 Green Bay Rd. at 6:50 p.m., according to Waukegan police and the FBI.

The suspect implied he had a gun but did not show one, and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

He was described as a black man about 30, 6-foot and more than 200 pounds, police said. He was wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt and breathing mask.
