Man fatally shot in Rogers Park

A 25-year-old man was shot to death Saturday afternoon in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

At 12:30 p.m., Eric Jordan was walking in the 1600 block of West Howard when someone walked up and shot him, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jordan, of the 4600 block of North Racine, suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and back, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.

He was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead at 1:04 p.m., authorities said.
