How does His Airness decide who gets the butt or chest slap? It seems rather random.

The first nine people shown exiting all get a simple chest slap with the back of Jordan’s hand.

After the camera pans away but then goes back to the greeting line, showing Nic Batum getting a pat on the back of his head, Jordan resorts to butt slaps on the likes of Jeremy Lin and Al Jefferson.

What does it all mean?
