Derrick Rose has found a go-to move in his bank shot

Even though Derrick Rose has struggled with his shooting throughout the early part of the 2015-16 NBA season, the former MVP has been able to carve out a nice, little go-to move for himself.

Rose has been able to get to the elbow-extended seemingly at ease, and he has been knocking them down. Many of the shots have come from the left side of the floor.

According to NBA Savant, Rose has attempted 10 bank shots so far this season — making all ten.

That percentage is by far the best (obviously) in the league. Rose did appear to miss a bank shot Monday night against the Indiana Pacers, but it could have been marked as a long miss and not an intended bank in this data set.

Nonetheless, Rose has only attempted a bank shot on 6.8 percent of his shots, according to NBA Savant.

The only other NBA players to attempt more than 10 bank shots are Tim Duncan and Jahlil Okafor.

16.5 percent of Duncan’s total shot attempts are banks — more than double that of Bojan Bogdanovic, the player who attempts the second-most bank shots based on percentage of total shots.

With Rose shooting so well on bank shots — especially from the elbow-extended — it would be in his best interest to be attempting many more of his jump shots in that manner.

If Rose can continue to prove he can make that shot consistently, it should allow him to get to the rim much easier.
