The White Sox and 35-year-old outfielder Scott Hairston have agreed to a minor league contract.

Hairston has not played in the major leagues since 2014, when he hit .208 in 61 games for the Washington Nationals. He is a career .242 hitter with 106 homers and 313 RBI over 11 seasons with Arizona, San Diego, Oakland, the New York Mets, Cubs and Nationals.

Hairston’s contract does not include an invitation to spring training.

The Sox confirmed the move on Wednesday.
