A woman died Tuesday night after she was struck by a vehicle in northwest suburban Elgin.

Diane Mangia, 57, was pronounced dead at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin at 10:15 p.m., according to the Kane County coroner’s office.

Mangia, of Hampshire, was struck by a vehicle on Route 31 near Tollgate Road in Elgin, according to the coroner’s office.

An autopsy Wednesday found her preliminary cause of death was multiple injuries. Toxicology results are pending.

Elgin police declined to provide information about the open investigation.
