The White Sox made their first promotional announcement for SoxFest Thursday, and it included news that their two top stars, first baseman Jose Abreu and left-hander Chris Sale, will appear at the event Jan. 29-31 at the Hilton Chicago.

This is the second year the Hilton will host SoxFest, in its 24th year. Fans have access to autograph, photo and question-and-answer sessions, the SoxFest Garage Sale and interactive activities.

Abreu joined Albert Pujols (2001-02) as the only players to hit 30-plus homers and drive in 100-plus runs in their first two MLB seasons. Sale broke the franchise single-season record for strikeouts (274). Sale did not attend last season.
