Suit alleges Notre Dame tutor coerced athletes to have ‘racially-motivated’ sex with her daughter—report

Notre Dame has fired a female academic coach after a student filed a lawsuit claiming she coerced football and basketball players into having “racially-motivated” sex with her daughter, the New York Daily News reports.

From the New York Daily News:

The unnamed academic coach violated the university’s values and its discrimination harassment policy, the six-page report concluded. The report notes accusations made by African-American students, including one on the fabled football team, who said they were pressed into having sex with the coach’s daughter, who is white.

The unnamed student, who started at the university in 2014 on an academic scholarship, filed the lawsuit against the school on Friday, alleging the tutor set up the sexual relationships with the daughter by supplying transportation, hotels rooms and condoms for academic favors, according to the report.

From the New York Daily News:

The academic coach would later interrogate him about the nature, frequency, and quality of the sexual activities they had, the lawsuit claims, badgering him with racially-charged comments about his sexual prowess and genitalia, the suit alleges.

Attorneys for the student say the school fostered a “sexually abusive and hostile educational environment,” according to the Daily News report.

The school maintains its innocence, and on Saturday called the lawsuit “unfounded,” the report states.

On Sunday, the Daily News found out the academic coach had been fired.
