A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side Monday night.

At 7:15 p.m., a 24-year-old man was standing outside in the 700 block of North Leamington Avenue when the shooter or shooters walked up, fired shots and ran away, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the right arm and was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
