Cops: Search warrant turns up weapons, cash, narcotics in Avondale home

A man faces two felony drug charges after officers found LSD and other Schedule 1 and 2 narcotics in his Avondale neighborhood home on Thursday, police said.

Chicago police served a search warrant on a home in the 3800 block of West Diversey, where they found a large quantity of narcotics, $51,000 in cash, six handguns, two shotguns with modified pistol-grips and two assault rifles, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

Jonathan Dieball, 29, was arrested on the scene and charged with one count of felony possession of LSD and another count of felony possession of Schedule 1 and 2 narcotics.

He appeared in court Friday, but his bond information was not available late Friday. He is scheduled to appear in court next on Dec. 8.
