Man dies after Sunday shooting in Austin

A man died after he was shot on Sunday evening in the West Side neighborhood of Austin has been identified.

Tamar Moore, 35, was sitting in a vehicle parked in the 5400 block of West Race about 7:35 p.m. when someone walked up and started shooting, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Moore, of the 5400 block of West Haddon Avenue, was shot repeatedly in the body and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:34 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
