Pau Gasol was responsible for 13 points at the end of the third quarter in Phoenix tonight, but two of them belong to the Suns.

Watch Gasol tip the ball into his own basket:

It’s hard to tell exactly what the veteran center thought he was doing.

Was he trying to bring down a rebound, or did he simply forget he was supposed to be playing defense?

Either way, those two points could be costly in a tightly contested game.

It’s a shame the bucket won’t count on Gasol’s stat line. It was, after all, a pretty nice tip in.

Without the help of Derrick Rose, the Bulls led Phoenix 72-70 at the end of the third quarter.
