Heading into this season, most experts didn’t think the Bears would win four games. They have that now and could just as well be 6-4 or even 7-3 if a few balls had bounced their way.

Jay Cutler is having the best season of his career with perhaps his worst receiving corps. Matt Forte, the centerpiece of the Bears’ offense, gets hurt and rookie Jeremy Langford steps up. It’s been one surprise after another.

Maybe it was because the expectations were so low, but Bears fans seem quite pleased with the direction their team is headed.
