Police on the West Side are warning residents of two armed robberies just hours apart in the West Garfield Park and Humboldt Park neighborhoods.
In both incidents, the suspects jumped out of a white van, showed a handgun, and demanded property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. The first robbery occurred at 3:35 p.m. Nov. 19 in the 600 block of North Pulaski. The second happened at 7:55 p.m. in the 300 block of North Avers.
The robbers are both described as black males. One suspect stands between 5-feet-10 to 6-feet. The other is bald, stands at 6-feet, and weighs 180 pounds.
