Man shot in Washington Park

A man was shot early Sunday in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

About 1:55 a.m., the 33-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 5500 block of South State Street when a group of males fired shots at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the upper right thigh and then took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
