A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg on Sunday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of North Mayfield Avenue at 6:30 p.m., according to police.

The man was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park in good condition, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member and is not cooperating with the investigation.
