Bentley’s Corner Barkery buys Pet Stuff chain

Bentley’s Corner Barkery announced Wednesday it has bought the Pet Stuff chain and its seven stores.

Bentley’s is being advised by entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis, who invested in the Arlington Heights-based business and is featuring it on his CNBC TV show “The Profit.”

“We look forward to having the knowledgeable staff and resources of Pet Stuff to help us expand our Bentley’s Corner Barkery brand,” co-founder and owner Lisa Senafe said in a news release. “By acquiring the existing Pet Stuff locations, we are excited to now serve a broader area of the Chicago market with our healthy pet products.”

Pet Stuff opened its first store in 2005 at 509 N. LaSalle St. It’s grown to seven stores in the city.

Bentley’s, founded in 2008 by Lisa and Giovanni Senafe, focuses on healthy meat pet foods and treats. The company has grown to seven stores, including a South Loop store at 1137 S. Delano Court.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
