Just how good has Steph Curry been this season? Michael Jordan good.

The sharpshooting Warriors guard has 213 points through the first six games of the season. That’s the most by any NBA player in that time frame since Michael Jordan scored 214 to begin the 1989 campaign.

That season was Phil Jackson’s first as head coach of the Bulls, who made it to the Eastern Conference finals before falling to Detroit in six games.

Michael Jordan led the NBA in scoring that season with 33.6 points per game.

Curry has been on a tear since last season, when he won his first MVP and led Golden State to an NBA championship.

He’s currently averaging 35.5 points per game and has the Warriors off to a 6-0 start. Curry scored a season-high 53 in a Oct. 31 win at New Orleans.
