Man charged with sexually assaulting 18-year-old girl at South Side hotel

A 38-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman at a hotel last week in the South Side Kenwood neighborhood.

Marco Palmer, 38, was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault and two counts of unlawful restraint, all felonies, according to Chicago Police.

He physically threatened two 18-year-old women into staying inside a hotel room in the 4900 block of South Lake Shore Drive, and sexually assaulted one of them, according to police. He was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Thursday.

Palmer, of the 11900 block of South LaSalle, was ordered held on a $300,000 bond in court Saturday.
