Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or making important decisions until 10:15 p.m. Chicago time. After that, the Moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a loosey-goosey day because it’s a Moon Alert almost all day. Although this means no shopping (other than food and gas) and no major decisions, the fact is a Moon Alert time is creative, wild and imaginative! Enjoy your day but tread carefully!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Be careful at work today because this is a poor day for big decisions. Wait until tomorrow. Don’t volunteer for anything major. Don’t buy products or tools. In fact, only spend your money on gas, food and theater tickets etc. Postpone important decisions about your health as well.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Although this is a goofy day, which is inefficient and full of shortages and delays, it’s also a wildly creative day! Artists will be productive. Writers will go to town. Enjoy sports events and playful times with children. Go wild!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Although you’re in a playful frame of mind now, your focus is on home, family and your private life. Because it is a Moon Alert for most of the day, avoid important decisions until tomorrow or late tonight. (See above.) Be patient with family members.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Your mind is busy, flitting from subject to subject. Don’t get me wrong, you are mentally alert. Family discussions are important and it looks like home repairs are in the picture. Today, however, is a poor day for expenditures and big decisions. Forewarned is forearmed.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Three planets are now focused on the money sector of your chart. Nevertheless, this is a Moon Alert day, which is a poor day to spend money on anything other than gas, food or tickets to entertainment venues — stuff like that.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Today the Moon is in your sign along with Venus and Mars; however, the Moon is what we call void-of-course. This means it’s not making a major mathematical aspect to any planet. A friend of mine said that for years, she thought I was saying, “The Moon is void, of course.” Not so.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Research will turn out to be interesting today because as much as you use your analytical mind, you will also be guided by your instincts, hunches and imagination. Because of this, you can make good progress and discover something new.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is a lovely day to hang out with others and talk to people in clubs, groups and organizations. However, it’s a poor day to volunteer for anything or to agree to anything important. Just keep to your course and keep a low profile.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Because the Moon today is at high noon in your chart, you are highly visible to others. Not only that, personal details about your private life might be privy to the world. All Capricorns fear public failure or a tarnished reputation. (Gently biting curved forefinger.)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You’re a Friday person in a Monday world today. You want to get away from all this. You want adventure and a chance to learn something new and fascinating. All this is well and good. Refrain from major decisions and spending money on anything other than food and gas.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Because your focus is on taxes, debt and shared property today, please note you should not make important decisions until late in the day (see Moon Alert above) or wait until tomorrow. Try to learn something fresh and new today. A glass of wine in French is un verre de vin. In English, it’s more plonk?

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Eric Dane (1972) shares your birthday today. You love your earthly pleasures and creature comforts. You also know how to enjoy the present moment. Because of this, temptation often figures as a theme in your life. You love to discover new data, concepts — anything. This year is the beginning of a fresh, new nine-year cycle for you. Open any door! Start a new business activity.
