A man was grazed by a bullet in a drive-by shooting in the Austin neighborhood in the West Side Monday afternoon.

At 4:30 p.m., the 21-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Crystal Street when a dark-colored Jeep drove by and someone inside fired several shots at the man, according to police.

The man suffered a graze wound to the neck and was taken to Mount Sinai hospital in good condition, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
