Person injured in Kennedy rollover crash

Alcohol may have played a role in a rollover crash late Monday on the Kennedy Expressway (I-90) on the Northwest Side, police said.

About 11:40 p.m., the vehicle was traveling in the outbound lanes of the Kennedy when it struck the wall then, rolled over near Cumberland Avenue, according to Illinois State Police.

A female, whose age was not known, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police said. She was the only person in the vehicle.

The right two lanes of the expressway were temporarily closed, but reopened to traffic by about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Police said alcohol may have played a role in the crash, but additional details were not immediately available.
