Man shot in Burnside

A 38-year-old man was shot early Friday in the Burnside neighborhood on the South Side.

The man was having an argument with someone he knew at a party at 12:49 a.m. in the 9200 block of South Drexel Avenue when that person pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest and back, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
