An 18-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Thursday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

At 10:15 p.m., the man was shot in the right hand while standing on the corner in the 7000 block of South Laflin Street, police said.

The man took himself to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.

The man suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
