Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot Thursday evening in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 36-year-old was shot in the chest about 8:30 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Damen, according to preliminary information from police.

He took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
