Addison Russell spoke to the media before Tuesday’s game at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, his first interview since being called up by the Chicago Cubs.

Russell’s promotion comes on the heels of fellow prospect Kris Bryant’s call to the big leagues last weekend.

“I think this is a good thing for me,” Russell said. “It’s gonna push me, and I’m looking forward to it.”
