A 70-year-old southwest suburban man died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident in Minnesota in December.

John T. Lasota died at 12:27 a.m. Tuesday at RML Special Hospital in Chicago, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Lasota, of the 0-100 block of Pine Needles Drive in Lemont, was involved in a snowmobile accident on Dec. 29, 2014, in Minnesota, according to a spokesman for the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Wednesday found he died of complications from blunt force injuries suffered in the snowmobile collision, and his death was ruled an accident.
