A man was shot and seriously wounded Thursday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 20-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen about 6:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Parkside, police said.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
