Soggy conditions didn’t stop the Libertyville and Lake Forest girls soccer teams from playing a North Suburban Lake game Saturday afternoon.
The Scouts better managed the wet conditions at Libertyville. Junior midfielder Paige Bourne scored twice for Lake Forest, with the game winner coming in unlikely fashion. Libertyville got a goal late in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as the Scouts held on for a 2-1 win two days after dropping a 2-1 game to Warren.
