Three shot in South Shore

Three people were shot late Friday in the South Shore neighborhood.

About 11:55 p.m., all three were inside a car in the 6900 block of South Cornell when a gunman walked up to the vehicle and opened fire, police said.

A 25-year-old woman was shot in the leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where her condition stabilized. A 25-year-old man was shot in both arms and his leg. He was also taken to Stroger, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

A third man, 22, was shot in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His condition also stabilized, police said.
