Bloom hires alum Dante Maddox

Bloom reached into its past to try to secure a bright future for its boys basketball program.

Dante Maddox, a 1993 graduate of Bloom, has been named the Blazing Trojans’ new coach.

Maddox succeeds Ron Ashlaw, who resigned after two seasons at the Chicago Heights school. The Blazing Trojans finished 8-21 in 2014-15.
