1 wounded in Austin shooting

A 28-year-old man was shot in the back Sunday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

He was in a vehicle about 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Lotus when a gunman ran up and opened fire, police said.

He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where his condition stabilized, police said.
