A man was shot Tuesday morning in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 8800 block of South May about 11:45 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg and was taken to Christ Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Police said the shooting happened in an alley between Racine and May.
