A man was shot and seriously injured in an Englewood neighborhood shooting Thursday afternoon on the South Side.

The man, 20, was standing in the 6800 block of South Morgan about 5:30 p.m. when someone walked up and opened fire, police said.

He was shot in the abdomen and was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
