Man shot in Grand Boulevard

A man was wounded in a shooting in the South Side Grand Boulevard neighborhood Thursday morning.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 4800 block of South Calumet at 4:05 a.m. when they found the 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Greer said.

He was unable to tell the police what happened, she said.
