Two people were shot late Friday in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

A man, 24, and a 31-year-old woman were traveling in a vehicle in the 1600 block of West Juneway Terrace about 11:10 p.m. when they passed a crowd of people and two individuals in the crowd opened fire, police said.

The man was shot in the right side of the body while the woman suffered a gunshot wound to the left hand, police said. They were both taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where the man was listed in critical condition and the woman’s condition was stabilized.
