For all of the controversy surrounding the University of Illinois football team to start the season, the players haven’t been fazed.

For the second week in a row, the Illini won in blowout fashion. Saturday, they beat Western Illinois 44-0.

From the very start of the game, Illinois was in charge. Quarterback Wes Lunt killed the Leathernecks through the air.

Lunt finished with 353-yards and a touchdown. His backup, Chayce Crouch, threw a touchdown as well.

Just as it was in their first game against Kent State, the Illinois defense was dominant. Western Illinois had less than 150 total yards. A pair of Western Illinois quarterbacks could only muster 43-yards and a pair of interceptions.
