Man shot in Homan Square

A man was shot Saturday night in the Homan Square neighborhood on the West Side.

A 32-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 2400 block of West Fillmore Street at 10 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

He was shot in the ankle and leg, and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody, and Area North detectives are investigating the shooting, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
