SHARE 15-year-old boy shot in Woodlawn

A 15-year-old boy was shot Sunday afternoon in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

He was outside in the 6100 block of South Vernon at 4:15 p.m. when the suspects came through an alley and shot the boy, police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The teen is a gang member, police said.
