Man shot in Woodlawn

A man was shot Monday morning in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 6600 block of South Cottage Grove at 8:55 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The 22-year-old was shot in the abdomen and arm, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
