Chicago Lawn man charged in West Town robbery attempt

A Chicago Lawn man was charged Sunday with an attempted robbery in the West Town neighborhood on the near West Side.

Donte White tried to rob a 56-year-old man in the 300 block of North Ashland Avenue at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, Chicago Police said. The victim was able to get away uninjured.

White, 20, of the 6300 block of South Campbell Avenue, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
