Person shot in North Lawndale

A person was shot late Wednesday in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The male, whose age was not known, was shot in the upper back about 11:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Karlov, according to preliminary information from police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, but his condition was not immediately available, police said.
