Jane Lynch’s Lyric Opera shows move from December to June

The local cabaret performances of “Glee” star Jane Lynch have shifted from a holiday present to a summer treat.

Anticipating a conflict with shooting of her upcoming CBS series “Angel From Hell,” the actress has bumped her “See Jane Sing” stint at the Civic Opera House from its scheduled Dec. 17-18 dates to June 17-18, 2016.

She’ll do her cabaret show twice each night at 7 and 9:30 p.m.

“I can’t wait to come home and bring our cabaret show to Chicago early next summer!” Lynch said in a statement. “Playing at the beautiful Lyric Opera theater for the very first time is an experience I can’t wait to share with my hometown fans. I promise it will be well worth the wait.”

Ticket holders will be emailed new tickets for corresponding dates in June. Those seeking an exchange to a different date should call 312.827.5600.

At “See Jane Sing,” audiences will be seated onstage in an intimate cabaret style. Lynch, accompanied by sidekick Kate Flannery (“The Office”), arranger Tim Davis (“Glee”) and a five-piece band, promises “a musical journey through a world of songs from Broadway to cabaret.”

An Evergreen Park native who grew up in Dolton, Lynch this month won her second Emmy as best reality show host for her work on NBC’s “Hollywood Game Night.”
