FBI: Two men robbed Carpentersville bank

Two men robbed a bank last week in northwest suburban Carpentersville.

The robbery happened about 1 p.m. Friday at the BMO Harris branch at 94 W. Kennedy Dr. in Carpentersville, according to the FBI.

The FBI said a weapon was shown during the robbery.

The two suspects are both described as black men in their 20s, according to the FBI. The first was about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 with a thin build and wearing a red flatbill hat, black shirt and sunglasses.

The second suspect was described as between 6-foot and 6-foot-2 with a thin build and wearing a black hat, black shirt and sunglasses.

There have been 102 bank robberies in the Chicago area in 2015, according to the FBI. In 2014, there were 192 total bank robberies in the area.
