A 60-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday in west suburban Wheaton.

The woman was struck by a vehicle at Naperville and Butterfield roads at 7:53 p.m., according to Wheaton police and the DuPage County coroner’s office.

She was found lying unresponsive in the road, according to the coroner’s office. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:20 p.m.

Her name was not being released pending notification of her family.

Wheaton police are investigating.
