Despite suffering a torn meniscus and fractured tibia, Pirates shortstop Jung Ho Kang didn’t blame the Cubs’ Chris Coghlan for the hard slide that ended his season on Thursday.

It could take the rookie star six to eight months to recover from the injury.

“It’s an unfortunate circumstance,” Coghlan said. “I hate that he’s hurt. I really do. I sent him over a letter. I hope he’s OK.”
