A man and a 15-year-old boy have been charged with a Humboldt Park neighborhood shooting that left two women wounded early Friday on the West Side.

Arturo Ramirez, 32, and the boy, whose name was withheld because he is a minor, face counts of aggravated battery with a firearm for the attack that happened shortly after midnight in the 1600 block of North Hamlin, according to Chicago Police.

The women, ages 36 and 46, had just left a bar when they heard gunfire and realized they’d been shot, police said.

The older woman was shot twice in the abdomen and once in the right leg, while the 36-year-old suffered a graze wound to the abdomen. They took themselves to Stroger Hospital, where the older woman’s condition was stabilized and the younger was listed in good condition, police said.

Ramirez, of the 1500 block of North Springfield, and the boy were arrested soon after the shooting, police said.

A judge on Saturday ordered Ramirez held on a $500,000 bond, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. He is due back in court Monday.
